From very beginning, I know that my life would be like David.
But sometimes, I become confused because of my own interpretation.

Recently, I asked God (a bit disappointed).
If I’m called as David, why am I not a good vocalist or pianist?
I love worship and I want to give You the best!

But then, I remembered what God once told me:
He won’t and didn’t make two identical Davids.
His plan is unique to each one of us.

And I understand that even if I’m called as David,
I have to follow God closely to find out
what it means exactly and specifically step by step.
And that’s what I have been doing all these years and shall continue.

This week, my heart was stirred again. My heartcry is that:
"I want to be a true worshipper, an anointed priest!
I want to have that Mantle of God’s presence - to bring Your presence wherever I go!"

And then … thank God! He did reveals something very precious to me.

No. I’m not talking about the emotional part.
Though it’s true – True worshippers love Jesus with all their passion and imagination.
They develop a very intimate personal relationship with Jesus.
They cherish this relationship sincerely and seriously.
That's why they are very honest to Jesus, who is their best friend, lover and Lord.

But all these are quite common among ordinary priests.
And I know I can't stop here -

I think about all those distinguished priests
who have a great impact in their generation and in my life.

Suddenly, I find something common!
David, Philip, Don, Sandy ...
they are all lover of God's words.

And when they sing or speak about God's words, there's something special -
a kind of conviction, uplift, influence on those who hear ...
we call it anointing. God recognise them with His presence.

Why God is willing to grant that precious Mantle of God’s presence to them?
Why God is willing to pass over a thousand priests just to anoint them?

No. It’s not because of their beautiful voice. It’s not because of their emotion.
It's their faith in God's words.
They believe what they sing with all their hearts and
they has experienced / walked in that truth.

Last night in the Stream of Praise worship event, as my heart was stirred up by Sandy's sharing, I cry out to God:
O God! Make me a man of faith!
A leader who can strengthen others with my trust in You and Your words!

Suddenly, I understand more why Jesus said
"God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.

I realise that: It's not only those in healing ministry need faith.
Worship is not talking about emotion or merely music.

In the heavenly realm, there's no difference in which kind of ministry you are.
When we are talking about anointing-
God will only honor His words,
or even more precisely, our faith in His words!

Psalm 23
Jesus, my shepherd and only provider
He makes me lie down in green pastures
He leads me beside the still water
He restores my soul

Surely goodness and mercy will follow me
All the days of my life
And I will dwell in His house forever until the end of time

Jesus, my shepherd and only provider
You make me lie down in green pastures
You lead me beside the still water
You restore my soul

Though I walk through the valley of shadows
I will not be afraid
Your rod and staff are my only comfort
And You'll be with me always

You prepared a table before me in the presences of my enemies
And you anoint my head with oil
And my cup overflows
My cup overflows with your love with your love

Yes Father, it’s true!
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

Each time just when the enemy thinks that he has defeated me,
You raised me up and You anoint my head with oil -
Haha! In the valley, Your child grows even faster and stronger =)

And I won't stop! I will keep growing into that full measure.
I'm saying this not because that I'm strong myself.
But that - I believe and so I speak!

Father, I love You.
Yes, it's true.
My cup overflows …overflows with Your steadfast love.
